10/23/2007 — Sophia Rose Aragon Kirby: Tom Kirby and his wife Antonette Aragon are thrilled to share with the community the news of the birth of their daughter, Sophia Rose Aragon Kirby, on April 29, 2005. They are ecstatic to be the parents of their lovely little Rosebud. Johanna Alper assisted during Sophia Rose’s birth, and Tom and Antonette are enormously grateful for her loving assistance and presence. Tom caught Sophia Rose at the moment of birth, then she practically squirted from his hands up onto mommy’s belly seconds after she was born. Ellie Eun Jin Eliyahu Kalzang O'Dwyer — "Ellie came home to Miriam and Sean on April 11, 2006. She's the most adaptable, social, chatty, cheery, gifted, amazing being! We never dared to wish for such a wonderful outcome. She's the bee's knees! In May of this year we celebrated her second birthday. Thanks to everyone for the kindness and support they have shown us over the last two years."

News from Pam Francis — "I am happy to announce the engagement of my daughter, Kirtan, to Brendan Inman. Kirtan and Brendan attended UC Santa Cruz together. They will be married outdoors on July 8, 2007 in Santa Barbara, Ca. In September they will travel to Japan to live, work and travel for a year or so while becoming fluent in Japanese. My youngest daughter, Diana, is attending Cal State Long Beach and majoring in Aeronautical Engineering. She is also working on her private pilot license. She is having a great time living in the dorms and making new friends. My eldest daughter, Jenny, and her husband finished a total re-build/re-model on their Victorian home in Monterey, Ca., complete with a view of the bay. Jenny is an RN and her husband Todd is an architectural draftsman. My husband will be retiring in a couple of years, so I am busy looking for our dream property on the Big Island. (earthquake or not) We're used to them in California."
