Political Watch Team

Fostering an appreciation of political action, outlook and outreach in members of Worsley Institute of Classical Five-Element Acupuncture, MAP™ and the WCF-EA community.

Poli-watch Team, since 2003, has focused on raising awareness in the WCF-EA community regarding the essential role of involvement and visibility in the greater acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) community. The message has been, “Think WE.”

  • The Intention is to reduce the perceived and real separation and disconnection of WCF-EA practitioners from the greater AOM community of Organizations and Practitioners;

  • The Goal is to build rapport, friendships and alliances with Organizations and individual Practitioners across the greater AOM community;

  • The Method is to participate in national issues, at national venues, increasing visibility for WCF-EA and creating goodwill through interaction and support.

AAAOM Conference, Chicago, 2008

Since 2005 Poli-watch has encouraged and coordinated the development of a three part presence at the national Acupuncture conferences to include: Worsley Institute exhibitor booth, for WI and WCF-EA education and training providers; a Worsley Open-house Reception; and Building Rapport Skills conference CEU seminar.

The Worsley Institute, assisted by WCF-EA practitioners and educators, has presented one or all of these components at:

  • the AOMAlliance conference, Keystone, CO, 2006;
  • the AOMAlliance/AAOM conference, New Orleans, LA. 2007;
  • and most recently, the AAAOM conference, Portland, OR, October, 2007.

We are now developing our program for the AAAOM conference, October 2008.

Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Day, 2008

Poli-watch and WI encourage all Practitioners to join in the focus and activities of AOMDAY, October 24th, 2008. Go to the AOMDAY website www.aomday.org to see how Practitioners and organizations are coordinating activities to reach out to the general public on October 24th.

By making your plans for October 24th, and subsequently making them known to AOMDAY, you help increase the public awareness of the benefits and availability of Acupuncture.

By coordinating your AOMDAY program through aomday.org you are also educating the AOM community of the broad presence of WCF-EA Practitioners and of the works of Worsley Institute.
